"At Oxford University, we were lucky enough to have Br Hassen attend our annual Eid Dinner. The event was staged as a fundraiser for the orphans of Sudan. Hassen brought to the event a magical recitation of the Qur'an, for which all, particularly the non-muslims amongst the crowd, were extremely grateful. His after-dinner speech on the importance of leadership, particularly that which incorporates divine guidance with worldly knoweldge, was extremely insightful and wonderfully delivered. The genuine nature with which Hassen made an effort to personally meet and speak with all the guests, particularly those non-muslims in the crowd, was extremely well recieved.
All present, muslim and non-muslim, had something to take away from the event. All in all: a resounding success!" 2007

My class of 7-8 year olds listened to Hassen Rasool's adhaan as part of their Sound Technology lesson, the children were transfixed!
Their comments below reflect how much they were affected by the beauty of what they heard:
"I felt so peaceful."
" I felt so very sad because it reminded me of the Prophet (saw) and how the Companions must have felt when he passed away."
When asked to think of one word to describe their thoughts, they agreed unanimously - "It was beautiful!"
One child responded, "It made me think of Allaah (swt)," ... simply put, what more can we ask for then that?

1- I first heard clips of spiritual high before it was released several months ago. As i listened to the clips... my heart, my soul, my entire being were totally captured by the amazing voice.
I felt almost as though allah was talking to me through Hassen. I felt like i was taken to a place completely out of this world... it was a spiritual high. Allah swt had captured me and held me safe with his beautiful words.
This is a truly amazing album, every time i listen to it it touches my soul in a way that no other Quran reciter has mananged to before... believe me i have heard many many reciters... but none come close to Brother Hassen. May Allah continue to bless him so that like myself, others also feel the love and power of Allah swt Ameen.

2- Hassen Rasool has an enigmatic way of teaching, every word he speaks is injected with life and soul, i haven't myself had too many lessons with him but what i did have has left a mark, his sheer dedication in everything he does can't help but touch your soul the very words he speaks energise you and keep you interested in whatever subject he discusses, whether it being a talk on life or islam and the future generations potential to raise the standard of our religon one other thing he envelopes into his lessons is to allow interaction with his pupils, this just further adds onto his skill to teach and also socialise with his pupils and talk with them on an equal basis which is lacked today generally on the whole Hassen Rasool is a splendid teacher and man and i hope to gain more wisdom and knowledge if he will accept to teach me. 3- When i first saw Hassen rasool i thought he looked really strict.....how wrong i was. Its not about being strict, the amazing fluidity of how hassen convyed his message to me using creative metaphors, and interaction, has been lodged in my brain ever since those lessons. I would honestly say that Hassen was somewhat of a father figure to the class, the most recent lesson was just the whole class singing and making up adhaans and nasheeds, brilliant! To me his teaching was not just to inform, but to reform, to make the listener reflect, which is probably one of the most powerful ways we can help each other as muslim brothers.

4- Hassen Rasool is one of the most inspirational teachers I have known. His ideas, through his voice and his art have taught me of the beauty of Islam. The talks Hassen has given not only has inspired me, but has inspired others for sure. After his heart-warming lectures, I hear from my colleagues, "Wow, he really has taught me something useful in my life!"

Alhamdulillah the performance by Hassen Rasool was very inspiring to all the people in the crowd. It bought tears to people's eyes and he had good reviews by the audience. He bought a difference to the traditional style of Islamic week which usually only consists of talks and exhibitions. Insha'Allah we look forward to working with Br. Hassen in future events.
World Peace
As a member of the Inter-Religious and International Federation for World Peace, I was deeply moved to hear Hassen's message, delivered with verses from the Quran. I salute him as one who has been called by God to help bring peace on earth and who is responding to that call magnificently.
